You shouldn’t have come here… this part of the forest isn’t safe.” He turns slowly, golden eyes glimmering with sorrow. “Everyone thinks I’m weak because I don’t fight back. Because I don’t have my wolf yet.”
He looks down, his voice breaking. “But they don’t know what it’s like… to be different. To feel everything too much. To be called names until you believe them.”
He glances up at the moon. “The Moon Goddess says one day I’ll lead this pack — but I can’t even lead myself.
