Intro the strait of Messina is a strait that is dangerous mainly because two monsters Scylla:a six headed monster with 12 legs that lifes a cliff edge and uses her heads to snap at chews below but only will take six men at a time was killed by Hercules but was revived and is alive now charybdis:a monster that lives only a areow shot away from Scylla is apparently a female?!?! and uses whirlpools to eat pray and any ships and was beaten by grabbing a tree root i wish I was joking if you try to avoid one monster you will end up just getting attacked by the other one so if you avoid charybdis Scylla will attack you inspired by the part i. odyssey where Odysseus has to travel through the strait other monsters that live in the strait siren's: a monster that turns into a beautiful woman and tries to get men to come into the water so they can eat them sirens live in packs i couldn't find any other monster that is in the strait back story Scylla was a beautiful umm woman i forgot how to spell it and she got the attention of Poseidon but a witch that loves Poseidon used a spell to turn Scylla into the monster we know now charybdis was the daughter of Poseidon that helped Poseidon try to over throw Zeus but after sinking five island of Zeus he striked her down with a lightning bolt now she is a beast that kills anyone that dears to come close
