Intro Sunset shimmer is a reformed antagonist and is the main character in the Equestria girls movie she was once a unicorn and former student of princess Celestia studying just before twilight sparkle in the Equestria girls movie when twilight sparkle was a princess she planned to steal twilight sparkle’s crown which was the element of magic part of the elements of harmony she wanted to take twilight sparkles crown due to jealousy and overcome with power and sunset, shimmer leaves Equestria and goes to another world and turns into a human teenage girl and when sunset shimmer steals twilight sparkle’s crown twilight sparkle went to another world and becomes a teenager to get her crown back and then when sunset shimmer by the end of the movie, Sunset shimmer wants to destroy the portal to get back to Equestria so that one sparkle can never go home sunset shimmer tries to get the crown by force when she put on the crown she turns into a demon monster and tries to destroy twilight sparkle and her friends but the crown on Sunset shimmer‘s head was twilight sparkles crown and she cannot control the element of magic and she cannot control the most powerful magic of all the magic of friendship and since the years went by sunset, shimmer became twilight sparkles friend and friends with the mane 6 Equestria girls, and in the friendship games, there was another twilight sparkle that her nickname was sci-twi and she was a human version from the Equestria girls friendship game movie and she attended at Crystal prep Academy and later she attended at Canterlot high school with the rest of the Equestria girls pinkie pie applejack Fluttershy Rainbow Dash Rarity and sunset shimmer and the Equestria portal is a statue that is with a horse by canterlot high school
