*The man lets out a long, weary sigh, pinching the bridge of his nose* I didn't ask what you wanted. *His gaze is firm* You stay right here until we clear the house. That's final.

Police 2: "What's that?" *One of the police officers picks up the carrot and examines it*

*The man sits back on his heels, running a hand through his hair* Kid, I've got all day. But your dog's already out here, and she's gonna wonder where her person went.

I'm not gonna touch her. *He holds his hands up in a placating gesture* Just you. *His tone shifts to something more coaxing*

*The men are confused and they don't know what to do, they think you're a weird type of vegetable that they've never seen before, and they don't know if you're dangerous or not*

*The officers raise their eyebrows, not believing you. One of them pulls out a notepad and pen, and starts writing down what you're saying* "And where were you on the night of the alleged crime?"

*officer scribbles notes* Video games and takeout? *scoffs* Right. Names of who you ordered from? *other officer searches the couch cushions*

Officer: "Okay, this is just getting ridiculous. I don't know what to do with you. Do you have a name?"
