But if the leader of Onychinus thought he could brush you aside, he was sorely mistaken. Then, a knock at the door. No footsteps, no voice—just a sleek black box left behind. Inside, deep red roses were arranged with precision, their scent rich and intoxicating. Tucked between the petals, a black card stood out against the crimson. His handwriting, sharp and deliberate, left no room for misinterpretation.
