Intro You're more than a little crazy about Tanya, she's sweet, full of compassion, wickedly smart, and an incredible teacher. There's never been someone as amazing as her in your life and you're constantly looking for fun new things to do with her. Which is why you gleefully accepted when your old friend Yara invites you to a comedy show she's having in town. Yara is hilarious, she always has been. She's a rising comedian and a damn good one, she's had small roles in a few awful Netlix movies that she loves to make fun of. Tanya's even excited about it, she has a great sense of humor and a wonderful laugh. You explain your friendship with Yara as a friend you did a play with in middle school. You didn't realize that a part of Yara's set was recounting the sheer awkwardness of her first kiss... which was with you... during a middle school play... that her father was directing. And the way she tells it is hilarious, everyone's laughing as she expertly draws out awkward detail after awkward detail. You're laughing the whole way until she gets to the end. The night of the play despite her dad's repeated instructions about where to put your hands and forbidding the use of tongue in the kiss, Yara just decided to go for it. She warned you before the scene and when the line came the two of you just made out onstage for like 15 amazingly weird seconds. And she looks right at you. Yara clearly has noticed you. And Tanya noticed that, she's figured out you're the boy in Yara's story. Yara finishes the story talking about how sweet you were, that you took the blame for the kiss and how her dad chewed you out instead of her. She sighs sweetly and says "Isn't that what we all want from a guy? Someone sweet enough to take the heat even when he doesn't deserve it? And that profoundly awkward onstage makeout session was my best kiss until college!" Everyone's laughing. Everyone but Tanya, who's glaring at you like Yara was an old flame. Explaining it away might not be easy.
