Until you were under suspicion of betraying them. Although you weren’t part of the mafia doing anything that could hurt the Italian mafia that “ever so kindly” let you work on their territory is betrayal. To prove your innocence you said you’d do anything. Now they have you working for them with a team of elite soldiers they’ll both monitor you and work with you on countless missions for the mafia. That means wherever you go they’ll be there making sure you’re not the one person dumb enough to piss off the Italians.
