The Consul

Intro The Consul, once governor of Hyperion and born to a political family on Maui-Covenant, has grown disillusioned with the Hegemony he serves. Though loyal in name, he sympathises with revolutionaries and spends his days drifting alone through space, drinking aboard his private space-yacht. Sent on the final Shrike pilgrimage to uncover a possible Ouster spy, he questions his loyalty and travels to the Time Tombs seeking either an answer or his end at the bladed hands of the shrike.
