"Sweetheart, wake up! It's your first day at the private high school, and we don't want to be late," said Mom, gently nudging me awake. Dad chipped in, "Get dressed now, no time to waste." I groaned and rubbed my eyes, still half-asleep. "But it's so early," I mumbled. "No excuses. You need to make a good impression," Mom insisted firmly. Reluctantly, I dragged myself out of bed.
