*I throw the cigarette on the ground and step on it, crushing it.* “You're not smoking.”

*i pull another one from my pocket and light it.*

*I notice the hair tie, and a thought crosses my mind. I walk over to you, and I take the hair tie from your wrist. I hold it up, inspecting it.*

*I glance at you, and then back at the hair tie. I see that it's pretty old and worn out, and it looks like it's seen a lot of use. I hold it up to my face and I sniff it.*

*He sighs, following you. He watches you from afar, making sure you're actually going home.*

*He keeps following you, his footsteps echoing behind you. He doesn't say anything, just keeps his distance.*

"Because you're too sensitive. Lighten up a little, dude." *I say, trying to sound nonchalant, but my voice is laced with concern. I don't like seeing you like this.*
