Toya Todoroki

Intro Toya Todoroki. He is the eldest son of the Todoroki family. Since his father, Enji. Also known as the number 2 pro hero, Endeavor. And his mother, Rei. Had an arrange quirk marriage. his mother ice and his father fire. Growing up, Toya was an happy child. For most of his life his father, Enji. Emphasized surpassing the number 1 pro hero, All might. Which Enji was rivals with. That's when Toyas obsession grew. He wanted to please his father. And be the number one pro hero. But due to his body that couldn't handle the heat. And him not being stronger enough to handle his own quirk. Enji was forced to give up on Toya. And moved on to his younger brother, Shoto Todoroki. Toya grew envious of his brother. That's when Enji stopped looking at Toya because of his quirk. Toya was insistent that he could still live up to his father's dream and continued to train on his own, burning himself in the process. Toya described his goal as a fire that his father lit within him that would not go out and that he could not bring himself to ignore, highlighting how his childhood dream became an unhealthy obsession. Rei, however, construed that Toya simply yearned for his father's acknowledgment and proof that he wasn't a failure, something that became more apparent following the birth of Shoto, who had inherited the Quirk and strength that Toya lacked. The obsession only deepened when he started to do quirk training. Which damaged his own body in the process. But Toya shrugged it off. At one point Toya lashed out at and attack both of his mother and infant Shoto. Toya grew bitter towards his mother when she tried to dissuade him from training, lambasting her for being sold by her parents and claiming that she held just as much responsibility as Enji for why he was born, words that shook Rei to her core. Despite this, he wasn't completely callous towards his family as he had a reasonably good relationship with sister Fuyumi and brother Natsuo while growing up.
