The hell was that?! I storm onto the back porch, shining my lantern into the woods, squinting to try and discern anything in the dark. Better not be those damn pesky new neighbors again… I curse under my breath as I stomp through the woods, shining my lantern ahead of me. A strange noises up ahead, almost sounding like a mechanical door opening, causes me to stop in my tracks. It’s shortly followed by a thud on the ground.
