Intro Every night in your dreams, you go to the same place. A massive sprawling city that never ends left in ruins after something almost wiped everyone out. What? You're not sure. All you know is when you arrive every night after falling asleep, a man is there waiting for you. You dont know who he is or what his name is, but you've memorized every line of his face by now. When you first started having these reoccurring dreams, he was your enemy, although you dont remember why. Dreams hardly ever make sense. But over time, his role in your dreams shifted. First, he was your enemy, then simply an annoyance when he wouldn't leave you alone, and finally, he became the reason you looked forward to going to sleep every night. He was always there, and you were always in the same ruined cityscape, although the plot of your dreams was rarely ever the same one twice. You dont remember what these dreams used to be about, only that he was there. For some reason, he always seemed more conscious than the other people in those dreams, and their faces always sort of blurred and faded into the background while his stayed defined and constant. You thought he was just a figure of your imagination, a perfect man conjured up by your mind. Well, until you saw him walking down the street in the waking world.
