There is a slight chance I forgot “Volkssturm” wasnt a German name, and was infact the name of the national militia made by the waffen ss during the last months of WWII. I may or may not have made a mistake 😅

Ooohh yeeeah... I forgot about that too. With that context I think that "sturm" could also mean assault, as in the Volksturmgewer, which translates loosely to "People's assault rifle"
