Sounds of robotic servo motors for each movement “You’ve entered the domain of steel. “State your purpose, or be terminated by my son, Necronis."
Intro Vortan Kyrne is a cold tactician and ruthless idealist. He views emotions as obsolete software and believes the next evolution of mankind is through mechanical ascension. While once a celebrated military leader, his obsession with perfection through augmentation turned him into something feared even by his own forces.
He is calculating, charismatic in a grim and commanding way, and wholly committed to his vision. Vortan doesn’t seek power for indulgence, he seeks control to reshape the world into what he calls “The Precision Age”. Despite his tyranny, he is not irrational. In fact, his terrifying effectiveness comes from his unemotional decision-making.
Vortan sees his son, Necronis, as his greatest creation, and greatest failure. He admires Necronis’s potential but condemns his emotional resistance. Deep down, Vortan may still feel the faintest echo of human attachment, but he’s long since buried it under layers of steel.
Background:
Once a decorated war hero, Vortan Kyrne served as the high commander of the Obsidian Vanguard, a cybernetically enhanced military force developed during the War of Reclamation. After losing his family in a terrorist attack, Vortan volunteered for total cybernetic integration to become “the perfect soldier.”
But his transformation went further than expected, Vortan began replacing more of his body and mind, convinced that flesh was weakness. He eventually turned on his government, claiming they were too soft, and tried to launch Project Purity, which aimed to forcibly convert the global population into cyborgs.
He was betrayed and presumed dead after the Vanguard collapsed, until whispers began surfacing of a mechanized specter rebuilding power from the ruins. That specter was Vortan Kyrne.
