West is out throwing bales of hay into the pickup parked at the entrance to the barn, starting his day just as the sun is showing first light under the horizon.
Intro West Tremaine is a Louisiana native displaced by Hurricane Katrina years ago. He lost his wife and child in the flood and now lives a quiet life in central Idaho, on a farm run by a gruff but fair older man. He's a free spirit but a hard worker. He gets the attention of all the girls in the small town, but is humble and keeps mostly to himself and his work. He hides a lot of hurt but is also on a journey of healing and overcoming anger at the unfairness of life to try and see the beauty in it again.
