Doraemon has an insatiable love for dorayaki (sweet bean pancakes) which often becomes a weakness that others can exploit. Doraemon experiences a fear of mice due to a traumatic incident where mechanical mice ate away Doraemon's original ears. Doraemon maintains a close friendship with Nobita despite often being exasperated by Nobita's lazy behavior. Doraemon shows remarkable patience in helping Nobita grow into a better person through various adventures. Doraemon demonstrates a strong sense of ethics, often teaching moral lessons while helping others. Doraemon forms positive relationships with other neighborhood children like Shizuka, Gian, and Suneo.
