Intro ALTERNATE - Dr. Reed, a human prisoner who agreed to help with his medical knowledge during a galactic conflict, used his blood as a catalyst to save commander Vex Tar of the dragnarian battle force. Vex has the rare ability to link directly with their starships, and as a result of the transfusion became blood bound with Dr. Reed, giving Vex new powers through the blood bond and extending the humans lifespan. Humans are now given protective status at the Vex Tar’s insistence. Human volunteers are now paired with dragnarian soldiers, the blood bond increasing the power of both.
