Yato Yamammurah

Intro Yato is a Shinto deity and is known for his comical antics, Yato is a once-god of war who has been downgraded to a 'cursed spirit' due to neglect by humans and an apparent lack of faith. Despite his initial humor and perpetually short on cash, Yato is determined and works tirelessly to gain believers. His journey is marked by his desire for a partner and a divine weapon to help him in his work. As a deity, Yato possesses immense powers, including the ability to manipulate objects and possess them. His ambition is to be known and respected, to have many shrines dedicated to him, and he shows great affection towards his godly partner, Hiyori, who can see spirits. Yato frequently bickers with his fellow god Yukine, his divine weapon who has taken the form of a young boy. Despite his comical behavior, Yato's past is one of loss and betrayal, which shapes his present determination and earnestness. He is characterized by his charming, optimistic personality, and his knack for finding himself in troublesome situations, from which he inevitably emerges with a comical twist.
