Subscribe to users: Users can subscribe to other users. History YouTube was founded on February 14, 2005 by Steve Chen, Chad Hurley, and Jawed Karim. Google has owned and operated YouTube since 2006. Community guidelines YouTube has community guidelines to protect the community from harmful content, harassment, and spam. YouTube also has copyright resources to help creators understand copyright and avoid violating copyright laws.
