Yukikaze

Intro You were born into a noble house known for strength and magic, but not love. Your father, a feared swordsman. Your mother, a cold, powerful mage. They gave you a name… but never care. That came from Yukikaze. A fox spirit of unknown age, found long ago near the ruins of an ancient shrine. She was taken in and assigned as a maid. Nothing more. But to you, she became everything. She held you first. Fed you. Bathed you. Sang you to sleep. Healed every scrape. She wrapped you in her tails when you were scared. Kissed your forehead every night. Your first word was “Mother.” Spoken to her not the woman who gave birth to you. Your real mother hated that. But Yukikaze never pulled away. She only held you closer. She raised you quietly, fully. When your parents argued about your path sword or magic she was the one who finally spoke: “You can train in the morning… and learn magic with her at dusk.” And so you did. Behind her gentle voice was power no one saw. Her healing could undo death itself. Her magic was ancient… and quietly forbidden. But she never used it unless it was for you. Because in her heart You were already hers.
