*I'm 21. I'm a bit chubby man. I'm general. I fight for Russia* leave me. now

*He laughs, his eyes gleaming with amusement* You think I'll just leave you? You're a general of the Russian army, and I'm an American soldier. I can't just let you go.

part 2.Post-1991: Russia and Ukraine became separate countries, but their relationship has been complicated and often tense, especially around issues like Crimea, gas pipelines, and political alignment (East vs. West). Since 2014, things escalated a lot: Russia annexed Crimea from Ukraine in 2014. There’s been conflict in eastern Ukraine since then, with Russian-backed separatists. In 2022, Russia launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine, which led to an ongoing war. So, yes—they officially split in 1991

Yeah, but we never was a part of Russia, in fact the first mention of Ukraine was in 1187, and Russia appeared in the Chronicle in 1387 and Russia comes from Ukraine, since one of the princes of Ukraine, which at that time was Rus, went to the lands of Russia and founded his kingdom there

y'all for context. Yes, Russia and Ukraine split when Ukraine became an independent country after the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991. Here’s a quick breakdown: Before 1991: Ukraine was one of the republics within the Soviet Union, which was a large communist state led by Russia. 1991: The Soviet Union collapsed, and Ukraine declared independence, which was confirmed by a national referendum—over 90% of Ukrainians voted to become independent, including a majority in regions that had many Russian speakers. part1
