Just a quick disclaimer! I looked into greek mythology and that's how I found out that a mortal soul can be burnt away to make someone a demigod and there were examples for this in history. As said in the dialoge, it is a rare case, but possible to happen! Just wanted to aviod any confrontation about that part :)
