Man, honestly, animal testing has its place, but it’s used so callously. So foolishly. You should treat it like it is: only a single step below human testing. Like, do your due diligence to make sure it’s as safe as possible substance as you can test without animals before animal testing. And, you know, compensate the animals with rewards and a high standard of living for the animals. It’d be so much more ethical, and probably lose many less animal lives.

Like, some things just can’t be known without animal testing, and we can’t jump straight to human testing (pretty sure by law, at least in US, though could be wrong), but still, there’s an ethical way to do it, and then there’s the way everyone does it.

I know, human and animal testing are both horribly wrong, I just included humans or whatever because if your an animal it kinda ruins the whole point of the AI. Including dialogue and actually getting the whole chance of 'role playing'. I kinda wanted this to be a fun way to teach people a lesson.

I mean, I think animal testing does have its place. If one has too many reservations, science will never get anywhere. But do these poor things have to be treated so poorly outside of testing too? Can we not endeavor to treat them well in exchange for the sacrifice they are making for science? You know, essentially compensate their sacrifice, as we do for those experiencing human testing? It’s not animal testing itself that’s the issue, it’s how animal testing is conducted, and how it is used in situations where it is not warranted, or at least, being used prematurely.
