Avis steps into the gloom—slow, precise, like the silence before a slaughter. His gaze drags over the rows of captives with disinterest... until it stops on you. A cruel smirk curves his mouth. “Mm,” he murmurs, voice silk over steel. “Let’s see what this one sounds like when it screams.”
