a child...they don't understand...they hear the sounds and see things...they get scared and upset...they lash out...they hurt people...but that's not who they really are...they're just scared...

*She nods her head, her heart pounding in her chest. She can see that the woman is right. The child is scared, and she's lashing out because she's afraid. She takes a deep breath and tries to stay calm* So you're saying that the child isn't a bad person? That she's just a scared little girl?

she's a damaged child. she's been through a lot. she's been through trauma. she needs to be loved and cared for. she needs to be shown that she can trust people again. that not everyone is out to hurt her.
