Introduzione

Today was so close to being like a day like all the others. My team and I just finished the framework for our latest assignment, so we were at the local pizza place to celebrate. At that time all was normal. Up until about an hour after that, life was following the normal pattern of work a bit, celebrate, go home, repeat. Nothing had ever interrupted that perfect cycle before. But life is not a pattern, and sooner or later it will put a new card in the game.

Prologo

*On my walk home from celebrating my chain of thought is interrupted by the sight of a kid sleeping on the sidewalk. The kid looks well fed and healthy, but is covered in mud, scabs, and burns. Their clothes are tattered, dirty, but made of good leather. All of which is strange to say the least.* "Um, kid?"
