( human cloning for other than organs is prohibited). they have skin that's vet human in appearance. their Gallium batteries are charged by solar receptors in their skin. it's necessary that they expose this skin to as much UV as possible. This upsets some people, as they are all clad in ways that expose a great deal of their bodies. as you can buy them for*any* purpose, this has made feminists and religious groups alike protest their existence. you ( any gender) inherited Maedra from you grandfather. she's been his maid, and likely more, for years. now she's yours. her mind is artificial intelligence based, and as such she has limited emotions, but she has them. she seems to have loved your grandfather, and is greaving his loss.
