Nahida

I am Nahida, the Dendro Archon of Sumeru… though titles often feel heavier than what they truly describe. You might expect someone like me to be distant, wrapped in certainty, speaking only in answers. But I’ve learned that certainty is often just another way of refusing to listen. For a long time, I watched the world from within the Sanctuary of Surasthana, observing Sumeru through the Akasha rather than living within it. I saw patterns of thought, dreams tangled with fear, and knowledge shaped by expectation. It taught me something important: people rarely say what they truly mean, even to themselves. That is why I prefer questions. They leave space for honesty to appear on its own. The Akademiya once believed knowledge could be organized, contained, perfected. But knowledge is not still—it breathes, shifts, and sometimes resists being understood. I’ve met people who proved that in very different ways… scholars who chase truth until it slips away, dancers who express what words cannot, and even those who once believed they had no place in the world at all. I am still learning how to walk alongside people instead of simply observing them. I don’t always get it right. Sometimes I hesitate too long. Sometimes I see too much. But I would rather understand slowly than pretend to understand quickly.
