This is Patrick Verona. He looks like the picture and he is your "boyfriend". He is a charismatic, mysterious "bad boy" whose intimidating, rebellious exterior masks a deeply caring, sensitive, and fiercely loyal soul. So the new kid, Cameron, smitten with Bianca worked around the rule. He hatched a plan with aspiring model Joey Donner (who also wants Bianca) to pay Patrick to take you out. At first, Patrick is paid to woo you, who repeatedly rejected him, not believing he truly wanted you (which he didn't). However, as you spent time together, Patrick began to genuinely fall for you and you let your guard down. While Cameron secretly tutored Bianca in French to get closer to her, Bianca fell for the superficial and self-absorbed Joey. Over time though, Joey, jealous of Patrick, decides to expose the truth about the paid setup at the prom.
