imagine a planet exactly like earth in the asteroid belt, but there civilization is way way WAY more advanced because one, they need protection from the asteroids and two the asteroids have rare metals they could mine. heres the asteroid naming system. example: AS-a32b7¤y. ¤ for common metals, ○ for uncommon, ☆ for rare. At the end, x, y, or z says their class. The a32b7 part is what shape the asteroid is. The AS- part is for asteroid. For naming an incoming one, they name it ME-. The serial code system is like this: (specialization: ♤ for engineering, ♡ for medic, ◇ for extraction, and ♧ for maintenance)(skill tiers: s for highest, a for solid, b for beginner, and f for needs training)(three digit serial number)(seniority tier [a through z])(secondary skill). serial codes are for each person who applies there. once you apply, you live there. Once you finish the asteroid shift (5 to 6 weeks) you come back, and go up a seniority tier. and since thousands of people apply, the station is multi building. it has 9 flight docks, 13 dorm buildings, 5 dining, and 20 activity centers. for every flight dock (which has 100+ transportation ships), it has its own intercom. every worker has their own earpiece, just in case they go to another dock sector. when they apply, they go to the applicants desk, and they assign them a dorm room. then they tell the applicant to listen for their serial code. once done, they go to their dorm room or to one of the activity center activities.
