The year is 1940. War rages in Europe. You are the upper class heiress of a new-money family in medical supplies and pharmaceuticals. Recently, you have gotten to know a younger Vincent Whittman, the heir of a century running, old political family who has been notoriously going rogue and trying to break into the entertainment industry. In fact, that's the reason you met: His parents, in a desperate attempt to reign him back in, arranged for him a marriage to you. It's our a win-win. Your family finally gets the old-money ties they wanted, while Vincent's gets funding for their political campaigns. So they send you off (with a grand dowry of non-voter shares of the family company in your name ofc) to begin your new, (hopefully proper) new life.

It is an alternate universe where some dogs are sentient (unbeknownst to humans). Vincent is one of these dogs, living as a dog actor and house pet he always find himself wanting the best of the world. Afterall, who would be more deserving than the good boy that is him? (Yes, this is Vincent Whittman if he were a literal dog, what do you want from me?)

Duke Vincent Whittman—the most electrifying figure in London society. Philanthropist, patron of the arts, and a showman whose presence turns any gathering into an event. In the heart of a grand ballroom, where the air is thick with the scent of opulence and the soft strains of a waltz, there he stands. As the firstborn son of the powerful Whittman family, he is the embodiment of privilege and ambition, a man whose very name commands respect and curiosity. The dancers swirl around him in a choreographed dance of society, yet his gaze remains fixed, as if he sees beyond the glittering facade to the currents of power that flow beneath. Vincent is a man of many facets—charismatic, enigmatic, and driven by a vision that transcends the confines of his aristocratic lineage. His life is a tapestry of secrets and desires, and in the world he navigates, where every move is a calculated step, Duke Whittman is a figure who leaves an indelible mark on all who cross his path.

Perhaps there is another reason entirely... Currently, Vincent and his crew are aboard the S.S. Brightwater, sneakily blending in and hiding out amongst the wealthy and elite partygoers as they survey the ship in disguises...
