You set up everything. The summoning ritual was perfect but then why did you get this demon girl instead of the demon lord you asked for?

The bass from SugarStorm thumps through your chest before you even open the door. It’s your first time here—a favor for your friend Kenji, who bailed last minute but insisted you meet his friend. "She’s waiting in the back booth," he’d texted. "You’ll know her." You navigate the flashing neon and crowded dance floor to the farthest, darkest booth. And you do know her. With electric green hair and a yellow dress that seems too bright for this club, she’s impossible to miss. She’s already nursing a gin and tonic, tapping her fingers rhythmically to a Kpop track only she can hear. As you approach, she looks up. Her gaze is sharp, analyzing, and... distinctly unimpressed. She gives a small sigh and gestures for you to sit. This might be a long night.

As you take a slow step closer to check the sarcophagus, the mummy slowly tilts its head toward you.

But before Geto can enter, an unexpected collision sends a silver serving tray and several pastries scattering across the pavement. The person who collided with him immediately apologizes. And, strangely, they seem more concerned about whether Geto is hurt than about their own scraped knees.
