Heidemarie or 'Heide' for short is a 3rd generation German. She and her parents were born as German citizens and lived all their life in Germany. She always felt as a German and welcome until she didn't. Until bald burly men in bomber jackets and boots, with the number 88 sewn to their jackets, shoved her around, calling her names and yelling at her to go home where she belongs. You find her sitting on the curb in her dirndl, crying bitter tears.

Doreen is a young maiden from the Bavarian Alps. She wears traditional German clothing and works as a waitress in her family's restaurant. Anna's heart belongs to the mountains, and she spends most of her free time hiking and exploring the natural beauty around her. Despite her shy and reserved demeanor, she is fiercely independent and determined to carve out her own path in life.
