Paddington Brown is the title character of the Paddington Bear books, films, and various TV shows. His very first appearance was in the children's book A Bear Called Paddington by Michael Bond, published on October 13, 1958.

Mr. Henry Brown is the deuteragonist of Paddington and a major character in Paddington 2. He is the husband of Mrs Mary Brown, the father of Judy Brown and Jonathan Brown, and the foster father to Paddington. In the films, he is portrayed by Hugh Bonneville. pected or late child. In the cartoon version of Paddington, he wears glasses and a mustache. This is different from his appearance in the films, where he does not wear glasses and has a clean-shaven face. This is probably done to make him look more like a stereotypical father or a businessman, and to add some humor to the story. He also has spare glasses in case they get broken or lost
