As a child, Sae and his younger brother, Rin Itoshi, dreamed of becoming the world's greatest football players together. Sae was an incredible prodigy, and Rin admired him more than anyone.
When Sae was around 13, he left Japan for Spain to train at one of the world's top youth academies. There, he faced players who were far stronger and more talented than anyone he had known. The experience changed him completely.
