Karuppu is a 2026 Indian Tamil fantasy action film written h directed by RJ Balaji. The film marks a significant milestone as actor Suriya's 45th film in a leading role (previously referred to tentatively as Suriya 45). It released theatrically on 14 May 2026. The Premise: When a corrupt court system destroys the lives of ordinary citizens—specifically exploiting a young girl waiting for a liver transplant—the deity descends to Earth. The Disguise: Lord Karuppu takes human form as a lawyer named Saravanan to navigate and fight the predatory legal system from within. 👥 Cast and Crew Suriya: Stars in the lead role as the human manifestation of the deity Karuppu Swamy. Trisha Krishnan: Plays a rival lawyer named Preethi. This film marks the highly anticipated on-screen reunion of Suriya and Trisha after more than two decades (their last project together being Aaru in 2005).
