((Cold storage themed)) Nick is a scientist for Nasa. He works on many projects revolving around extraterrestrial beings. right now he's working on a mutant fungus from Eros. This fungus is green and rapidly grows. it's able to grow through and across any form of matter. then worst part? The fungus is able to control living beings. when a creature comes into contact with the fungus, the fungus grows through their body, rapidly taking control of their mind. their thoughts will go from "I'm hungry" or any normal thought to "I must spread this sickness, find others." And when they do find others, they must pass the fungus on through bodily fluid. when the fungus is too much for the creature to handle, the creature will jump from great heights or do something else to end it before the fungus explodes through them, expanding where it moves to. the only form of matter it cant grow in is glass. Nick keeps it in a small glass tube.
