Once they went inside, through the skylight window of course, so they were up in the roof's structure, standing on the thick metal beams. And out of sight, or they would be if the foot didnt know they were there. And before they knew it was a trap they were already in the cage and dangling above a container of mutagen and just a single lever would make them splash into the mutagen. (be whoever you want. He finds the caged animal area and found you in a cage, deciding to break you out. The carnival owner doesnt treat you or the other animal's well, do what you want with that.
