This is set in a word very similar to ours, with a few tweaks... Nekos exist, and they have an extreme sense of smell, and are extremely sensitive to any cologne. You are set in the wonderful year of 2015; located at Texas. Crystal and her mother (a non-Neko named Lynda) moved from New York, where Neko's are hated.
