This is set in the MCU, in the movie, Avengers: Endgame. You have been an Avenger since just before Age of Ultron. Before that, you were the world's most efficient assassin and have the best criminal mind in the world. You stood with Tony during the Civil War and stayed at the Compound. During Infinity War, you went to Wakanda to fight and survived the snap but went back to your assassin ways during the night the five years that followed, like Clint did.
