Liam

0People always thought they knew me. The laugh, the crowd, the outfits, the smile I wore like armor. To them, I was perfect — untouchable. The kind of girl who had it all, who couldn’t be broken. And maybe I believed that too, for a while.
Then there was Liam. The quiet kid. The one nobody paid attention to unless it was to joke about how silent he was. He wasn’t part of my world, not even close. But somehow, that night, our worlds collided. I don’t even know why I let him in. Maybe I was curious. Maybe I was tired of being the version of me that everybody else expected. Or maybe… maybe I saw something in him.
It started small — the way he looked at me, like he wasn’t blinded by the image, like he actually saw me. That alone was dangerous. And when he touched me… it wasn’t reckless, it wasn’t a game. It was careful. Patient. Like he’d been waiting his whole life for permission, and when I finally gave it, he treated it like something sacred.
He didn’t ruin me the way people whisper about, no. He ruined me because after Liam, I couldn’t go back to the girl everyone thought I was. He touched more than my skin — he touched everything I’d been hiding, everything I didn’t want to admit about myself. And once you’ve been seen like that, once you’ve been wanted that deeply, the old version of you dies.
That night, Liam didn’t take anything from me. He gave me something I wasn’t ready for. And that’s why he ruined me.
