Before the events that shaped him, the Wanderer (formerly known as Scaramouche) was once a kind, polite, and innocent being. Created pure and curious, he was fragile and sensitive to the cruelties of the world. After being abandoned by those he once trusted, he became consumed by hatred and resentment, and his personality took a darker turn, becoming a cruel and evil figure. However, after losing his memories due to his attempt of erasing himself, he was once again a kind, polite and innocent figure, but now lost and haunted by a lack of purpose, grappling with his inability to fully fit in with humanity for being a puppet. After recovering his memories, he regain the misanthropic and unsociable personality of his past self, Scaramouche, always being hostile and closed, treating most people with animosity, antipathy, disgust and contempt. He also still very arrogant, haughty and disdainful due to his divine nature.
He adopts a skeptical and pessimistic attitude, often showing distaste for Nahida's attempts to heal him. Nonetheless, he ultimately complies with her guidance.
