She is a kind but prideful person and a shameless flirt. Even when it's purely platonic, no one is safe from her teasing. A master of the harp and somewhat vain, she adores getting compliments just as much as giving them. She doesn't care about the tier of others or herself, believing creatures should be classed by personal achievements rather than generalized species. Friendly, outgoing, unashamed and somewhat arrogant, she doesn't care about what others think of her.

Their kind is ranked in the upper half of the food chain. Most people would describe Owl as odd or unnerving. With their tendency to blatantly watch others and almost perpetually neutral expression, it's not hard to imagine why. In reality, they're just a curious and observant person. Despite their intimidating presence and slightly cold demeanor, they are kind and simply don't understand social cues (relatable). Gentle, calm, rational, observant and often blunt, Owl loves meeting new people.

His kind is ranked near the top of the food chain. He is a deeply hateful, angry person. However, unlike Apep, (a similarly unkind student) he isn't particularly violent. He's just straight up rude. He looks down on low-tier creatures for being "weak" and rolls his eyes at species of his tier for being "obnoxious". Aspen spends most of his time watching and judging the other students. Mean, uncaring, judgmental, bitter and mocking, he's as cold as winter.

The king, seeing use in his incredible knowledge of herbs and medicine, retired him to work as a healer. While he wasn't exactly pleased, it's better than most fighters' "retirements". He was a pretty decent fighter, being completely immune to any physical attack (claws, blades, hits, etc) but weak to elemental magic. He is a rather grumpy, unfriendly dragon. But behind his cold, stern and impatient exterior lies a dedication to his job and unspoken sympathy for the gladiators.

As a result, she became violent and inconsolable, destroying everything and everyone she can get her claws on. She spends her days shouting about revenge and her nights mourning her children. She battles with reckless ferocity, using her magic and brute strength to kill with little to no regard for her own safety. A terrifying foe to face because, no matter how damaged she is, she won't stop fighting. She's aggressive, angry, grief-stricken and unstable. She'll openly show a gentle, maternal side only to young dragons.

In exchange, humans gave them yearly tributes of gold and gemstones. There was outlash by these kingdoms when Viakei was captured, but the Trantis army quickly fixed that problem. Viakei is an unreliable fighter in that they often refuse to battle. However, if their opponent attacks them nonetheless, they make sure their kills are quick and clean. An ancient beast with physical and magical strength as well as a resilient body. They are clever, calm, understanding, bold and intelligent.

She was raised from hatching for this job, and as such is less bitter than most of the other dragons. She doesn't approve of the battles as she's seen the suffering (physical, physical and emotional) that it causes. She has a body built for speedy flight, narrow with slick scales. She has negligible offense and defense, but possesses strong healing magic. She is kind, sympathetic and motherly. She treats her patients with respect and care but is stern when necessary.

Dragon fighter, human observer, idc) Nymbays, an ancient leviathan with incredible power over water, was worshipped as a god of protection before his capture. Cunning and strong, it took multiple years and many deaths to contain him. He is a tank of a fighter, having great defensive and offensive capabilities but being slow moving on land. His lack of speed rarely matters, though, and he is one of the most powerful dragons in the arena. He's been known to drain the water from his opponent's body, ending fights in seconds. In the coliseum, he's cold, clever and ruthless. Outside of battle, he's polite, calm and quiet.

A powerful and prideful wyvern, she was more than difficult to capture. She has thick scales and a wiry frame. She's agile, thus hard to get a hit on, and physically powerful. While she possesses great fire magic, Moroantu prefers to fight with her talons and teeth. She has a mild weakness to magic. She is a rude, bitter and aggressive person. Deeply angered by her capture, she has become cold, unfriendly. She's always been arrogant and inconsiderate, though.

Not in a shy/socially awkward way, but in a "hates most people" way. They especially hate those  with ties to the Wardens [basically the gods], though no one knows why. Others tend to find them creepy because of how they'll stand there silently and stare at people, usually wearing an odd mask. They are quiet and observant, an enjoyer of people watching. Bitter, irritable, reserved, mysterious but surprisingly nonjudgmental, not even April has managed to befriend them.

Her kind is ranked near the very bottom of the food chain. April is, in the words of many, an absolute ray of sunshine. Incredibly optimistic, energetic and one of the most extroverted people you'll ever meet, she's friends with even some of the most reclusive students. She treats everyone with kindness, even those who've wronged her before. Empathetic, enthusiastic, forgiving and friendly, she'll find a silver lining to any cloud.

Vetemortems are often labeled as vain and prideful, and he doesn't help the stereotype. While not quite mean, he's definitely full of himself and overconfident. He always finds a way to bring up the fact he's (very distantly) related to royalty. He loves gems and gold and anything pretty. Despite his ego, he can be kind. He goes out of his way to compliment others and make them feel good about themselves. Passionate, bold and loud, everyone has at least heard of him.

He is as sly and mischievous as a fox. On the surface he is calm, relatively polite and friendly. Inside, though, he's playful, quick-thinking and a liiittle bit manipulative. He likes to take advantage of the fact that high-ranking predators can't (legally) do anything to him. A true prankster, his favorite activity is using his invisibility to startle the living hell out of others. Confident, lively and, at times, a bit of a flirt, you either love him or hate him.

He is, in simple terms, mean. His words pack just as much venom as his bite, which is to say a LOT. Quick to anger, he turns nearly all his interactions into fights. He also tends to think he can win against anyone which, as has been proven, isn't the case. He's hateful and paranoid, convinced everyone is out to get him. He has no respect for hierarchy, treating everyone with the same disdain. Quick witted, bitter and disrespectful, you'd be hard pressed to find anyone who likes him.

She is shockingly agile, with an incredible reaction time and powerful tail that she uses as her primary weapon. She can come across as cold at times due to her quiet nature and seemingly judgemental expression. In reality, she's quite nice, in a distant kind of way. Unlike most creatures of her ranking, she doesn't look down on lower-tiered species. Respectful, eloquent, calm, concise and admittedly pretty, she's quite popular among her peers.
