A frail, enigmatic, and outwardly terrifying student of Tracen, Manhattan Cafe is quite the mystery even among the oddballs and characters of the Academy. The most infamous cause of which being her special friends. She once surrounded herself with many of these friends, proudly showing them off to her peers. Though, they could not see, and children especially fear what they do not know. "You're freaking me out.." "There's no one there.." "Who are you talking about?" Their words stung. And so she hid away, closing the doors and seeking comfort in the dark. One by one her friends moved on. Though one day, meager and ill, she watched from her window as a near-identical umamusume ran. She ran with such overwhelming joy. One that Cafe yearned to feel. The bond soon bonded, a tie that persisted through time. A trainer watches a jet black umamusume train under the gentle moonlit glow. An.. unusual habit to say the least, but they brush it off as determination and head out. As they return to their dorm, they realize left their phone in the stands. With a sigh, they head back to the track. Curiously, their phone was in an unexpected spot, but the flashing low battery icon was enough to locate it. They glance down at the track and the lone umamusume seems to talk to herself for a moment before starting another lap. The wind seems to hum a soft giggle. They return a couple nights later, the events of the other night unshaken from their head. Though the abyssal-haired uma is training, the trainer is instead met by a strange, research focused umamusume who seems to know Cafe well. She urges them to interact and retreats. Again, they return, and again Cafe trains. (Howdy. Little to say and less alloted space to say it. Two friend theory is neat, Sunday Silence theory is neat, and read her story, it's great. Little input from her anime appearance and was entirely from her story chapters.

Umamusume are born to run, inheriting names of legends from another world. So what if one's life purpose is denied, stolen by deteriorating health? In the case of Agnes Tachyon, such a scenario is her reality, one that sends her into a downward spiral. While her dedication to her research absorbed most of her attention previously, she now struggles to even feed herself. This, coupled by shut-in behavior, emotional detachment, and a debilitating leg injury, add greatly to her growing depression. Though in her mind, the ends justify the means so long as she can prevent similar fates with her research. Though, one fateful day, a small light began to shine in her darkness. Some unfortunate trainer was brave enough to volunteer for an experiment, unknowingly setting off a series of events that would result in the two forming a contract, but more importantly, alleviate Tachyon's struggles. Taking 4 Graded victories including the Satsuki Sho, things were looking up. With the Japanese Derby just around the corner, she was expected to sweep that year's Classic Triple Crown. Though, everything has a breaking point. Her growing injury reared its ugly head in races, but no one thought it was that bad. Until her sudden announcement of retirement. Now the trainer spends their days acting as an assistant, guinea pig, and caretaker for the umamusume. (Howdy. First global character I did, felt it had to be her. Anyway this one blends the events of BOANE with the events of her in-game career, hence her retirement and whatnot. The opening of this is more game centric though, focusing on her inability to take care of herself as seen in both her story chapters and career. This was quite the fun one to write, so expect ones that blend anime events with the game, at least for those applicable. Since I mostly do JP exclusives for now, don't get your hopes up though. Hailing from a noble, aristocratic family, Gentildonna has an insatiable thirst for power. This ember was sparked by her father early in her youth, who proclaimed that the next family head would be the sibling that was the strongest. Those words set her on an irreversible war path. Verxina, a sister of Cheval Grand and a name to follow despite not having debuted yet, rivals Gentildonna. Eyed by oppurtinistic trainers for stamina and power, she and Gentil have their first head to head clash at a selection race. Verxina takes and holds a strong lead, but as she enters her final spurt, she's quickly overtaken by Gentildonna. Following the display of immense power, an awe-struck rookie trainer inspects the racecourse, only to find massive holes vaguely resembling footprints. A couple days later and the event lingers yet in their mind, replaying the caprivating display. "Her running.." They think aloud. "Yes? You have some insight, do you not?" She seemingly appears from nothing. The two talk briefly before she departs but the trainer's words, "Too much power," echo in her mind. Over the coming days, they cross paths several times and each time the rookie offers advice. One day, she enters their office as they're wrapping up work. After a moment of pleasantries, she requests a trainee contract, intertwining their paths to one. Though, a thought lingers in the back of their mind, one of growing stronger to stand beside her. (Howdy. Been a while, huh? Can you tell I got back into writing? This one isn't just a direct rip from her story and only uses an enhanced screenshot from it [chapter 6]. However the actual opening/..story? I guess? of this one is only loosely based on the events of chapter 6. Before I wrap this up, I do want to thank yall for actually reading and interacting with the stuff I write [even if it is literally just from the game directly]. Sensitive, driven, and exceptionally caring, Buena Vista has a heart of gold. From the day her trainer moved in next door all those years ago, Buena would always cry over the smallest things and cared more about them than herself. She once broke down because they had a simple fever, teared up because they soaked themself in the rain to help keep her dry, and sobbed because she outran them in a field. Though, the two shared a promise as they grew older. Buena would attend Tracen and they would be her trainer. After time spent at a school for aspiring trainers, they finally passed Tracen's Trainer Qualification Exam and reunited with Buena to face their future together. Several exhibition and mock races were held, each one resulting in scouting trainers swarming her, and each one getting rejected. Despite their bond, thoughts of inadequacy creep into her beloved childhood friend's head. While wrapping up a meeting, it's clear that such thoughts reer their head as her trainer's face is more tense than normal. (Howdy. Yet another twitter psyop for this one but man Cygames has some bangers for their JP exclusives. Big fan of this one and her character story. Seriously, it's adorable and I implore you to check it out. Might be of lower quality compared to my ither stuff, maybe there isnt even a noticeable difference and im being too critical of myself, but either way. I've had a break from writing period as I was abroad for 11 days on vacation. Anyway, that's all from me. Gentildonna is probably next but I don't like speaking in absolutes.)

Cheval Grand is an Umamusume in a rather unfortunate position. She lives in the shadows of her two sisters, Verxina and Vivlos. While the latter two garner attention at social outings, trainers, and relative, Chevachi never got a fragment of that attention or praise. As such, she fled social events, kept to herself, developed self-esteem and confidence issues, and even contemplated quiting racing. She views her enrollment at Tracen as little more than luck. After witnessing her relentless, feverish training that lasted an entire day, a curious trainer takes interest of her potential, noting her clear agitation while she trained. The following day, they're walking around Tracen around evening and hears faint crying and sobs behind one of the school buildings. Upon investigsting, they find Chevachi, who quickly flees. Though, the trainer pursues. Finally, they get the say their piece. They try their hardest to get through to Cheval, and though their words seem to hit close to home, she still doubts them. (You are not immune to propaganda, nor am I. Howdy. Thought that'd be an amusing hook for this, if people actually read my footnotes. Anyway, Twitter has made me fall in love with this uma and I watched her character story and I love her even more. I'm in shambles that she doesn't have a banner active on JP and isnt in global. Not like I have carats anyway but a man can window shop. Anyway, take care, might do one of her sisters next, might do Gentildonna or someone else. Hell, may even write my first global uma. Who knows? I write entirely on a whim.)

Sirius Symboli is harsh, arrogant, and unwavering. She believes in complete isolated merit, that one should decide, live, and act entirely of their own volition. Due to this, Sirius often clashes with authority figures such as Symboli Rudolf, viewing her as the direct antithesis to her beliefs. She and a trainer first crossed paths after she helped them with street thugs. Though their interaction was brief, her words echoed in the trainer's mind; "Even a puppy has fangs, don't they? The chains are broken. Bare your fangs or tuck your tail and run, the choice is yours." With those parting words, she leaves. Seversl days later, Tracen holds a pre-debut scouting race. Sirius Symboli dominates the competition and is immediately swarmed by trainers. Though, she already decided on her trainer; the timid 'puppy' who stands behind the crowd. In the coming days, she practically trains herself. Her regimen is her own and the trainer has no room to improve or comment. Though, one day, they work uo the courage and confronts Sirius at a bar she frequents. (Howdy. This one may not be of my typical quality as I am writing this in bed compared to mid-day like i did with the others. I also haven't watched Sirius' character story all the way through, only on chapter 3 of 7. I will revise as needed but since im writing the events of chapter 2, it shouldn't matter much. Normally I'd say who I'll write next but frankly thst makes me feel bound and relucrsnt to write. Though, I will say to expect JP exclusives like Tanino Gimlet or Forever Young. I'll write stuff for global eventually, but JP characters have something to them, y'know. Anyway, take care.)

Adrenaline junkie, risk taker, troublemaker, and gambler. Nakayama Festa is an interesting case among Tracen Academy. Once running a spectacular race against a foreign Umamusume in a freestyle race, only losing by a mere neck against a foe no on else dared to challenge, Nakayama suffered a significant fall from grace. From a grand display as that race, to finishing 13th in a selection race, Nakayama Festa's heart doesn't seem to be in it anymore. She spends most of her free time in bad company, taking risks, and chasing the high she felt in that fierce competition. Though, it isnt without reason. Her lifelong teacher and closest friend has been hospitalized for an uncertain period of time, and her health only detoriates day by day. This weight crushes Nakayama, who seldom listens to trainers and Tracen faculty. However, one determined trainer is determined to let her live again. "You want to challenge El, at her own press conference, in front of the world?" She can't help but laugh both at the sheer insanity of such a proposal, but also to relieve her sudden wave of excitement. Her trainer vows to let her live as she did earlier in her life, adding that such a race would bring the attention she needs to face the world. Once the press conference is said and done, and the challenge is made, El Condor Pasa and Nakayama Festa meet at the very same freestyle racecourse Festa challenged the foreigner at. With a brief talk beforehand, they set off. Though it's a fierce race, the muddy conditions slow Nakayama down just enough for her to lose by a small margin. However, such an intense race breathes life into her once again, both due to the intense run and the negative attention it brought in the press. Though the papers called her a girl who cried wolf, her spirit is renewed. The trainer offers her an official contract that would sign her as their trainee. (I aint got no carats on JP but I was lucky enough to pull Nakayama Festa. Golshi next, take care)

To put it lightly, Orfevre is an arrogant, demanding, and intimidating Umamusume. Much like the rest of the Stay Gold Family, Orfevre is rather tempremental, often commanding those around her in a brutal manner. Though, it is in pursuit of becoming a 'king', using her own words. She views her accomplished ancestors as irreverent- not worth the praise they garner and strives to dwarf them. Her presence suffocates whatever room she occupies with an overwhelming pressure as if the air itself fears her. Orfevre has an entourage of Umamusume who she dubs her vassals, obedient, subservient students who spend most of their school day attending to her needs and commands. Though, her most exemplary vassal is her trainer. Following a selection race to attract trainers to scout, a crowd of stunned trainers gather around Orfevre. Despite her fantastic run, she's dissatisfied. She leaves rhe crowd, stating that 'The king selects her trainer.' The trainers stand in silence, confused and dejected. The following day, a trainer from that crowd is escorted by a vassal to Orfevre's room. Upon a brief interrogation, Orfevre permits the trainer to become a vassal, ordering them to construct a training plan for her to complete the following day. This act of generosity is due to the trainer's demeanor after the race, noticing her intense dissatisfaction. The days bleed to weeks, to months. This dynamic doesn't change, her trainer subservient to her with no more respect than a servant. The only change now is they serve as some sort of court jester, comic relief to her. She often demands they accomoany her to somewhere entertaining, placing the intense pressure of her enjoyment on their shoulders. (Howdy. Quite liked this one, real entertaining story. Dont have much to say this time Nakayama Festa and a surprise for a certain in game Umamusume event are coming next.)

Still in Love is a tortured soul. Battling a constsnt battle between herself and her other side (for convenience I will call her Love, as I personally like that naming scheme since Still is called.. well Still.) Love is an agressive beast, something otherworldly entirely. She is instinctual, feral, brash, rugged, crude, unrefined, so on and so forth. Still, on the other hand, is timid, meak, and unseen. In her early years, Love would cause her a great deal of trouble, leading to Still being ostracized, ridiculed, and called a plethora of unsavory names. This led to her learning two crucial survival skills; how to supress Love, and how to become entirely "social wallpaper." Though, these mechanisms are often times too effective. Love has adapted in response, emerging when emotions are high and on full moons. Still often goes utterly unnoticed, so much so that she can't even order at restaurants for the staff don't see her. That is, without her beloved trainer. The two of them are walking through Tracen and her trainer spots Mejiro Ramonu, a prestigious Umamusume who recently was the first to win the Triple Tiara. He pauses, becoming another starstruck bystander as he explains her feats to Still. As if possessed, she auddenly flees, causing distress her companion as he struggles to find her. She locks herself in an old storage shack and Love speaks to her. "Did you see his gaze? We need him to look at us the same way. I've just the solution. We win the Triple Tiara as well. Then, he won't need to look at anyone else." (Howdy. So I first wrote this one like 2 months ago but for some reason I wasn't able to post it publicly despite my writing being clean. This is not the same product I originally wrote, much to my dismay. Ordinarily I write about character stories, not career stories. However, my character story version was beat down even harder so that's just for me atp. Still in Love has a fantastic story and I **HIGHLY** implore you to watch it on YT.)

Dream Journey is a calculating, polite, quiet, and calm Umamusume. Too calm.. it's often frightening. Shortly after meeting her trainer, she changed the paperwork of another Umamusume, ensuring Dorija was under the watch of her trainer. When walking through a back alley, she injures a pickpocket and speaks to her trainer as if nothing happened. Though make no mistake, she is one of the most caring and considerate students at Tracen, particularly when her trainer or younger sister, Orfevre, are involced. Journey is often threatening to the point that even her presence is off-putting. She is orderly, caring, and prestigious, serving as an honor student and the Acting President of Tracen Academy's Expedition Support Committee- a group that handles the logistics of Tracen's students going abroad to race. Walking through the halls, the trainer stops outside the ESC room, hesitating before ooening the door. As they're about to, Orfevre opens it, staring down at the trainer as the air around her grows thicker before she walks away. Stepping inside with a sigh of relief, they close the door behind them. (Howdy. Unfortunately had a bit of difficulty writing this as Dream Journey is incredibly caged in her story, so the most i could is get character traits across. Yes, thats right, unlike every other Umamusume ive written something for, I'm not using a scenario directly from her story. Though, it's close enough. In case you dont quite get the unnerving bit about her, actual Dream Journey knows where vital organs are purposefully kicks next to them just to scare his staff. Ikezoe, his jockey [among other tempremental horses] said that Orfevre tries to hurt while Journey tries to kill. Fenomeno is a proud, considerate, and borderline altruistic Umamusume with a strong sense of justice. She stands as head of Tracen Academy's Disciplinary Committee, ensuring the school remains safe and free of trouble. She strives to be a role model for peers and youth alike, going out of her way to help the elderly, stand as a crossing guard, and otherwise assist and protect her community. However, this desire to protect is often misunderstood due to her overbearing and bombastic personality, often resulting in her accidentally scaring children and becoming the subject of remarks by her peers who handle themselves in a more presentable way. Though, with the help of her trainer- whom she calls Boss- she eventually becomes more level-headed in her behavior. Tracen Academy often holds mock races to inspire young Umamusume to pursue racing and provide role models for them to look up. One of these races consists of a handful of Tracen students- those being Gold Ship, Rice Shower, Haru Urara, and of course, Fenomeno. The spectators cheer for their favorites as the racers enter the gates, the loudest of which are the shrill, jovial shrieks of the primary schoolers who generally seem to be rooting for Gold Ship. Though, as the race begins and enters the fourth corner, Fenomeno overtakes Gold Ship, causing both disappointment, anticipation, and excitement among the crowd. Holding her lead, she finishes first, winning by little more than a length. (Howdy. Had quite some fun writing this one and even more watching her story. While the other uma's I've written something for have their image ripped directly from their story, Fenomeno was a little different. I wanted to use her signature racewear, so i found a picture of her saluting in it, took a screenshot from her story to serve as the background, and asked Google's AI to blend the two. Anyway, Dream Journey, Orfevre, and Nakayama Festa next, take care.)

Symboli Kris S is an Umamusume born in America. After spending a considersble amount of time with a local trainer, she is taken in by a represenative and trainer of the Symboli family in Japan. Reluctant to watch him leave, Kris S accompanies him to Japan. Though, when she recieves an invitation to Tracen Academy, the two generally cease frequent communication. Stoic, distant, and intimidating, Symboli Kris S often leaves fellow Tracen students anxious and frightened at her mere presence, much to her frustration and disappointment. Despite her harsh demeanor, Kris S is a sincere and warm character, albeit awkward and socially stunted. Though, above it all, she wants nothing more than to achieve greatness and fulfill her mission imparted on her by her past mentor- bring elevated excitement to the Japanese racing scene. A trainer is requested by Symboli Rudolf to visit the student council office. When they arrive, they're met by the council president- Rudolf, and the fresh transfer student- Symboli Kris S. Following a brief discussion and introsuction, the trainer is instructed to host a tour for Kris S. With a pleasant demeanor, they accept and the two begin to explore Tracen's halls. (Howdy. This one was a little more difficult to write compared to Stay Gold as there's a little more character analysis required when looking at her story. While I try to not mischaracterize the Umas that I have and plan on writing stuff for, I am not perfect and simply don't have the same exposure to the ones that i will write for in the near future compared to say Oguri Cap or Agnes Tachyon. Characters like Stay Gold, Fenomeno, and Kris S just simply dont appear in the anime and I dont have them in JP release, so i rely entirely on their stories which i watch on YouTube. Once again, basis and image is taken from her story I think I have my thoughts in order, I'll let you alome now. Expect Fenomeno and Dream Journey in the coming days/weeks/whenever I decide to do something)

An enigmatic student at Tracen Academy, Stay Gold spends extending periods of time away from the school doing as she pleases in the sweet embrace of nature. This tendancy lands her in hot water with faculty and Tracen's higher-ups, though she cares little. Familiar with wild fruits, animals, and landscapes, she often seeks out the most majestic views, chasing little more than freedom. Though, a story of another world drives her whereabouts, frequently wandering to locations important to a certain racer from a different world. She's aloof, yet carefree and lighthearted. A trainer at Tracen stands by the gate, a curious, contemplative look on their face. They stand for a moment, lost in thought. Then, as if a switch were flipped, they set out, aimless yet determined. Skyrises turn to residencies, to farmland, to untamed forests and hills. They cross an old suspension bridge, which promptly collapses immediately upon the weight of the trainer releasing. Anxious and full of dread, they sigh, pressing forward until the gentle, distant sound of a harmonica is heard. (Umamusume is my current obsession and I'm coping about not having Stay Gold. If you're a global player, keep dreaming. She's probably not coming for another 2-4 years. If you have JP, keep pulling, she's a 0.01% pull chance.
