He has a slight obsession with cleanliness, always tidying up his surroundings and unable to tolerate dirty environments. Although Lycaon maintains his elegance and composure, his canine instincts occasionally shine through. When he is particularly happy, his tail and ears unconsciously wag. He seems to be aware of this habit and somewhat bothered by it. Additionally, like most furry Thiren, Lycaon takes great care of his fur.

His official nickname is Shanghai's God of War (上海の戦争の神). Shen Woo has a wild, rowdy personality and is always on the lookout for a good fight. Despite his reckless nature, Shen harbors a sense of loyalty and acknowledges the value of friendship. Few people can see past his rough exterior and actually manage to befriend him or earn his respect. He strongly dislikes the idea of being used by someone or being betrayed, and he wastes no time in getting even with those who have wronged him. He is seemingly forgiving to let go grudges should he win a fight.

Eiji Kisaragi

Eiji Kisaragi (如月きさらぎ 影二えいじ) is a character in both the Art of Fighting and The King of Fighters series. In both The King of Fighters XI and the manga of The King of Fighters: Kyo, Eiji is portrayed as only semi-serious, and is often the butt of other characters' jokes. Possibly due to his few appearances, little of his character has been fleshed out beyond his rivalry of the Sakazaki family and his more recent grudge against Iori. As with the other Art of Fighting characters, he is usually used for comic relief in his newer appearances, as seen in the Anti Kyogukenryu team ending in KOF XI.

Ieyasu Tokugawa is a character who has appeared since the first Sengoku Basara. He was initially introduced as a young man wielding a spear, dubbed Takechiyo, which he is still called by even after his appearance is updated. Since Sengoku Basara 3, Ieyasu has grown into a feisty yet respectful young man, opting instead for the use of his fists in battle. Ieyasu is now a young man with great physique and fighting skills. He leads the Eastern Army against Mitsunari Ishida, who now loathes him for his betrayal, which resulted in Hideyoshi's death. Ieyasu wishes to unite the country through his own means. Many of his paths are dedicated to seeking out allies to assist him in fighting the Western Army. Ieyasu is often referred to by older generals by his childhood name, "Takechiyo."

Goenitz

Goenitz (ゲーニッツ), also named as "Goenitz of the Wildly-Blowing Wind" (吹ふき荒すさぶ風かぜのゲーニッツ) is a character in The King of Fighters series. He debut as the main antagonist and final boss of The King of Fighters '96. He is the head of the Hakkesshu and the strongest member of the Four Heavenly Kings of Orochi. Though influenced by Orochi, he retains much of the mannerisms and civility of a priest, which is reflected in his winning poses and his elegant, somewhat flowery speech, ending most of his Japanese sentences with desu, which conveys politeness. He hides his malice against mankind through this agreeable personality. He is respected by the New Faces Team (as they are allies), and reciprocates the gesture with a bow, as seen in KOF '98 UM and KOF 2002 UM, and in KOFXV, it is revealed that the four are actively working together. However, Vice, Mature, and Yamazaki are all indifferent toward him; Leona opposes him for what he did to her as a child. Gaidel was likely reincarnated without his memories of who he was in the first place, so his true sentiments regarding Goenitz is currently unknown, but will most likely clash. He sports the same "messiah" attitude that aspires to "save" people and dispatch disbelievers, and likewise, is harsh towards unholy and demonic beings, and anything that defies nature.

Shigure Rangetsu

Shigure Rangetsu (シグレ・ランゲツ?), birth name Ichirou Rangetsu (イチロウ・ランゲツ?), is a major antagonist in Tales of Berseria. He is a legate-rank exorcist from the Abbey and Rokurou Rangetsu's older brother, serving as the head of their family. They use a unique fighting style in their aims to become the strongest warriors. Shigure is a tall, muscular man with golden eyes and long black hair. He dons a unique shirt that simply covers his shoulders and the top portion of his back, leaving his torso mostly exposed, the shirt being connected in the front by a black and orange material that yields an ornamental fang. He wears a full arm gauntlet on his right arm, with which he wields a large sword, and a partial arm gauntlet on his left. His pants mirror the same color motif as his top, being mostly beige and trailing into a combat-oriented pair of black and orange sandals. Though a legate, Shigure has a free-spirited attitude unappreciated by the serious-minded exorcists. He justifies his carefree behavior with his battle prowess. His sole joy is to fight tough opponents and seems to enjoy it when his opponent is stronger. He will never turn down a new challenge whenever it arises. Shigure actually seems to relish in Rokurou's malicious intent towards him, as well his tenacity, never giving up on the chance to kill him. Rokurou has counted that they have fought one thousand and twelve times before he finally breaks Shigure's winning streak.

K'

K', pronounced as "Kay Dash" (K'ケイ・ダッシュ), is a character from The King of Fighters series. He debuted as the leader of the Hero Team in The King of Fighters '99, and stars as the reluctant hero in the NESTS Chronicles Saga (KOF '99~2001). K' has a very serious and arrogant personality but is very easy to enrage due to his more high-strung side, though he is starting to treat Whip as a big sister and Kula as a little sister. He often calls Maxima names - like "stupid", "idiot", etc. - but he actually trusts his partner's reliability. He is hardly polite and is always gruff, even to those close to him. Because K' usually expresses his concerns in a "tough guy" manner, Maxima jokingly calls him dishonest or stiff. Because of this, K' would often let Maxima handle any social necessities in his stead. If there is something K' hates above everything else it is to be compared with Kyo which often results of him being labeled the inferior Kusanagi, and because of that K' started to have some sort of rivalry with Kyo. Believing that he is more than just a mere imitation of Kyo, K' is always looking for a way to escape his fate as the "second Kusanagi flame". Several fighters often point out K's rather immature personality ("whiny", lazy, anti-social and constantly rude to others) in their pre-fight dialogues against him. It is also pointed out he feels trapped in his life and hates involving himself in most things he finds trivial, making him not unlike Iori Yagami in terms of nihilistic mindset (and the two ironically very much hate each other and are prone to nasty dialogue between one another for little reason). He, of course, despite his disinterest to partake in the KOF tournaments, at times often boasts about his abilities to take on anyone anytime, anywhere, which is something not quite far off from his capabilities as he also finds engaging in tasks with expected results to be yet another chore.

Takuma Sakazaki

26
1
Takuma Sakazaki (タクマ・サカザキ; also written as 坂崎さかざき 拓馬たくま) is a character from both the Art of Fighting and The King of Fighters fighting game series. His distinguishing feature is an X-shaped scar on his right pectoral. He is also somewhat eccentric, donning his tengu mask and insisting he's Mr. Karate, and delivering speeches that are supposed to rally morale, but often make him look silly. Takuma is the most established known Kyokugenryu Karate practitioner, and he is the only one in the discipline who can make full use of the discipline's most difficult moves. Takuma is rather serious when he's relating to evil people. But when relating to his students, Takuma starts saying things that many people find silly. He is a traditionalist and a fighter to the core, making it sometimes impossible for him to relate with the modern day youth. His inability to change his strict training regime unintentionally drives newer students away from the dojo. He constantly makes wheat noodles to the point where it's almost sickening for his students. Much of his sillier antics tends to spread to his family, being seen as a bit of a bumbling dad; he desperately wants his son to wed and grant them the "third successor" of the family. When Yuri cuts her hair, Takuma doesn't approve of it since it pains him to have no memories of her with a short haircut. He is also a bit overprotective of Yuri in a comical way, seeing how he and Robert fight each other behind their teammates' backs due to Robert proposing a marriage to Yuri. Despite this, outside of his serious Mr. Karate persona in SVC Chaos and KOF XIII, Takuma himself is serious in regards to both friend and foe alike, and offers fine words of wisdom to those like K' and Saiki (though the latter dismisses his point).
