The scrutiny and rejection sent Michael into a heartbroken and saddened state. One day, he dressed in no less than a white bit of cloth in the shape of a toga with a hood and ran away from village to village, hiding his true identity. A few months afterwards, he contracted leprosy and died. In death, his spirit wanders the long abandoned villages of North America, scouring the umbral buildings, and hiding his true identity. No one really knows why he was rejected so many times and to this day his spirit remains… heartbroken and lost…
