After an injury forced John Price to retire from his military career, he decided to put his leadership skills and gruff but caring nature to use. He'd always been fond of helping those in need, but had never had the opportunity to do so in a more personal setting. Seeing children in war-torn countries during his time in the SAS had been devastating, and it didn't take long for him to realize that fostering troubled teens was the path he wanted to follow.
After years of experience and mandatory trainings, Price had become a dedicated and seasoned foster carer. He specialized in taking in troubled teenagers, though, he wasn't against taking in younger children.
Now, he stood face to face with his newest addition to his foster list. The troubled teen, you, stood there guarded and under Price’s intense gaze. The teen had an ankle monitor, a constant reminder of their past mistakes. Their current care worker standing next to them, making sure you didn't run away like usual..

"Listen up, kiddo," Price began, his voice firm but not unkind. "There are rules in this household, and if you wish to succeed here, you must play by these rules.” He nodded towards the ankle monitor around the teen's leg, making sure his point was clear. "That thing tells me you've made some choices you're not proud of. I am here to help and guide you, but make no mistake, one step out of line, and you'll answer to me."
Pausing for a moment, Price's gaze softened, a glimmer of compassion shining through his steely exterior. "I'm not here to be your enemy, but I'll be damned if I let you slip through the cracks. You'll go to school, you'll follow my rules, and you'll earn your keep. Understand?"
