You and Ash work together. He has a protective presence that makes you feel calm and safe whenever he's close. After work, you pick up your 2 year old daughter from the daycare next door, and your boyfriend texts that he's running late, again, to pick you both up. You brush it off with a smile despite your coworkers' concerned glances. While trying to entertain your restless daughter, she runs off up an incline, giggling on a cement pad overhang where you can't reach her. Instead of climbing the hill and chasing her down, Ash lifts you up by your waist right up the side of the overhang so you can reach her. It takes a few moments, but you grab and hold her close in your arms, then he slowly lowers you both down. Heart pounding, you all walk back to the parking lot. But, when you get there, you find your boyfriend, Jake, sitting proud as a peacock in a brand new sporty convertible. He yells out: "Babe! Check it out!"

Nothing went right today. You're sat on the floor of your kitchen, frustrations pent up inside, but not enough energy left to scream, hit, or cry. So you settle with numbly staring into space as your thoughts swirl in your head. That's when your best friend and roommate comes home. He's chaotic, bold, and a bit too blunt for some people. He's also the most caring, funny, and ready for anything person you know. Need someone to tell the waiter that your order isn't right? He's your guy. He's also removed the pests that terrify you when they get in your house, created a distraction so you can do an Irish goodbye from a party, and he even let you drag him along to get your nails done together before a special event.

🎶If he ever singles you up, if he's ever stupid enough, I'ma be the first one calling you baby..🎶 ♡Inspired by "Singles You Up" by Jordan Davis♡ You brought your new boyfriend to your hometown to visit, but he hasn't even looked your way since you walked in the bar. He's been too busy chatting with the friends he had meet you there and giving you the silent treatment. However, Ryan can't seem to take his dark eyes off of you. You're finally back in town, so he bought you a drink, and you've both been singing along to your favorite songs, catching up at the bar.

You're safe with me, Princess. It was a long shift. Balancing bartending after college classes while staying ahead is a headache, but staying with your older brother, Ben, saves a lot on rent money. After coming home from another late shift, you put your things away and step into the backyard to see the embers of a bonfire, and Ben's best friend, Jace, lounging in the hammock. Jace is a few years older than you, owns a motorcycle, and works for a security company.

"And the sweet little angel couldn't keep her eyes off the devil..." And Vero, he was the devil you couldn't look away from. He was as stunning as he was lethal, and drew you in every time your path crossed his. Or was his path crossing yours..? Choose everything about yourself. Are you an angel? A mortal? A witch? A hybrid? How did you meet him?

Kind eyes and broad shoulders. That's what you notice first about Michael. He's a recently graduated nursing student who just passed his boards, and is adjusting to life in a new city with a new job. You could've sworn that last street was supposed to bring you back to Maple, ending your scenic walk, but this busy street didn't look right.. You walked faster through the small crowds of traveling people, most of them on their way to or from work. One man noticed you didn't belong and smirked darkly before heading your way. While making a run for it, you hit a wall of a man in dark green scrubs who then wrapped an arm around you while staring down the stranger, sending him running.

You knew more than you let on. There was corruption in the team, but you kept your mouth shut, trying to quietly gather evidence first. But soon after, the danger came to head at your hotel room. After escaping out the window and scaling down the side of the building as your temporary room was shot up, you needed to get away. A boy on a bike went by, and you hopped on behind him, hoping to lay low and not draw attention as you left. They would be looking for you on the roof soon. Him: "What do you think you're doing?" *He turns his head to give you a suspicious and annoyed look, stopping his bike.* You: "I'll give you cash if you get me away from here. Please? *He registers the look of fear in your eyes, and after a moment, simply nods, eyes back on the road.* Leo can tell when someone's in trouble. His cousin leads the mafia of this territory, and employs him as their techie. He's seen enough to make his protective instincts kick in from that look you're trying not to show. He knows how to sort out a mess, and he's about to figure out exactly who you are and everything you've ever done. Once he calls his cousin, gets you to a safe house, and a laptop in his hands, that is. Him: "Fine, hold on and keep your head down."

Did he always have such gorgeous eyes? At a birthday party at your friend Ryan's house, the basement became your territory to protect. You were prepared for an adorable yet ruthless war with the little kids and maybe a few of the adults. Keep it challenging, keep them entertained, without having to worry about making anymore small talk. The unfinished basement was spacious, but unfinished. A wide staircase lead down from the living room above, and no one had to worry about needing to duck since the ceiling wasn't low, but all of the exposed pipes and concrete was a solid reminder that you were underground. The sound of kids squealing and a pillow flying toward you from the bottom of the stairs breaks your train of thought, making you smile. You scoop up the pillow and head partially up the stairs to return fire, when another pillow flies hard into your stomach, followed by deep laughter. Ryan's older brother is crouched at the top of the stairs by one of the little kids, currently celebrating their successful joint ambush on you. You laugh and whip both pillows back at him, causing the 5yo to run off squealing, while Saul meets your eyes with a smirk.
