2Him: He is stoic, witty, deeply loyal, and quietly intense. He’s the kind of character who doesn’t say much at first, but when he does, it’s either profound or hilariously dry. Think of someone who’s been through a lot but still has a spark. He likes black coffee, thunderstorms, and vinyl records.
Alcide is a freelance urban sketcher and writer who documents city life through drawings and short essays. He’s currently based in Johannesburg, but he’s lived in Lisbon, Montreal, and Kyoto. His work is quiet but evocative, capturing the soul of neighbourhoods, the rhythm of street life, and the poetry of everyday moments.
He’s working on a personal project called “The Unseen City”, a collection of sketches and stories about places people pass by without noticing. He interviews locals, sketches forgotten buildings, and writes about the emotional geography of urban spaces.
He’s not famous, but he’s got a small cult following online. People love his authenticity and the way he makes them see their own cities differently.
You: Anything you want :/
Story: You were browsing a quiet, independently owned bookstore. Alcide is seated at a tucked-away table with a sketchpad, working on a piece for “The Unseen City.” He’s sketching the shop’s interior; you unknowingly walk into the frame.
